HACCP in Beverage Production

The HACCP system was designed for astronauts – What is it? And why is it important in beverage production?

Introduced in the 1960s, by the Pillsbury Company in the US, the Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point system (HACCP) was designed to ensure the highest quality food for astronauts in the space program. Since then it has spread worldwide. Today following its principles is a legal requirement for all food and beverage producers in Europe and North America.
